Florence Day 2

We started the morning off in the Uffizi gallery; where there is A LOT to see, including works by Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci as well as lots of other renaissance art.
We then moved onto the Gucci museum, the interiors of which exude the brand, with excellent customer service and pristine exhibitions. The exhibition begins with a travel orientated room and also includes iconic handbags, evening gowns worn by celebrities and lifestyle/sport products. For those interested in fashion, i recommend a visit.
The final museum that we visited on this day was the Salvatore Ferragamo museum which has an exhibition about the life of Marilyn Monroe running alongside the permanent exhibition of iconic shoes. It was an interesting exhibition as i wasn't really aware of the life of Marilyn Monroe so i learnt quite a lot about her. The exhibition isn't on for much longer but i really enjoyed it as it was very thorough, showcasing a lot of outfits worn by her in films and of course her favourite Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, which apparently is all that she wore.
And to finish the day off we walked up to Piazzale Michelangelo, a famous square renowned for it's amazing views of Florence and the sunset... Just gorgeous!
