I have recently taken a trip to London to visit the Saatchi Gallery and the V&A. At the Saatchi Gallery we viewed the Chanel Little Black Jacket exhibition, which consists of 113 photos showcasing the iconic garment on various celebrities/models. All photos are taken from Karl Lagerfeld's latest book: 'The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL's classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld.'
I really enjoyed this exhibition as it showed various styles of the jacket, showing it's versatility.
I also visited the ball gown exhibition at the V&A museum, it was good to see some contemporary dresses in real-life but unfortunately photography wasn't allowed. I'm hoping to visit the new exhibition here that opened on the 20th October-Hollywood Costume, it showcases the famous garments from iconic films, such as the LBD Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast At Tiffany's and Dorothy's gingham dress from the Wizard Of Oz.
Above photos are taken from the Selfridge's window displays for the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
